Out-Of-Hours

Call 111 if you need medical advice when it's less urgent than 999.

Calls to NHS 111 from landlines and mobile phones are FREE and the service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to respond to health care needs when:

  • You need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency
  • You don't know who to call for medical help or you don't have a GP to call
  • You think you need to go to A&E or another emergency care service, or
  • You require health information or reassurance about what to do next

Calls to NHS 111 are handled by a team of highly trained call advisors, supported by experienced doctors and nurses who use a database of all health care services available to people in Hull.

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department.

Walk-Ins / Minor Injuries

If you are unable to attend an appointment offered to you during the emergency surgery times, there are various walk-in centres and minor injuries departments based around the city that can offer help and appointments. Some of these include:

Bransholme South Health Centre (01482 478989), Beverley Community Hospital (01482 875875 – switchboard operated). Hull Royal Infirmary Urgent Treatment Centre 8am-8pm.
